THE SHORT ANSWER

Sparkworks is Enshrouded's 1.0 logic system for connecting an input in a build to a world outcome. The official introduction gives levers and pressure plates as inputs, and doors or traps as outcomes.

The studio presents Sparkworks as a way to make a build behave like an adventure: an action in the world can trigger a response elsewhere. Its introduction focuses on the creative idea and shows examples rather than specifying every part, connection rule or limitation.

The diagram is an original concept sketch of that relationship. It deliberately leaves out exact components and wiring so it cannot be mistaken for an in-game blueprint.

Examples from the official introduction

  • A lever can act as an input.
  • Stepping on a pressure plate can act as an input.
  • An input can be connected to an output such as a door opening.
  • The announcement also imagines trapdoors opening under a player crossing a bridge.

These examples describe intended possibilities. This page has not tested the placement, range, timing, part names, multiplayer behavior, blueprint export or Adventure Share publishing workflow.

A useful first experiment

For a low-risk learning session, make one small input-to-outcome build in a test area and change one connection at a time. Record the exact parts, game version and result before sharing it as a reproducible design. This is an editorial testing suggestion, not an official setup recipe.

  1. Choose one input and one visible outcome.
  2. Build in a place where a failed trigger cannot destroy an important base route.
  3. Test activation from the intended approach and repeat it after reloading the world.
  4. Only document the exact behavior that you can reproduce on the named patch.
